We are all so busy nowadays that we try to take shortcuts wherever we can, especially when it comes to our emails. Who has the time to type out email addresses again & again, right?
Luckily, if you use Gmail, there is an option that allows any new contacts to be saved automatically so their email address will auto-complete the next time you start typing their name. This quick post shows you where to enable this feature.
Click on the cog in the top right corner, and select Settings…
Your settings should automatically open in the General tab, scroll down about halfway, until you get to one called Create contacts for auto-complete, and make sure the option “When I send a message to a new person, add them to Other Contacts so that I can auto-complete to them next time” is ticked. Scroll down to the bottom and click Save Changes…
The next time you go to email someone you’ve emailed before, the address will automatically appear – and that’s it! A very quick way of saving a bit of time when using Gmail 🙂
