I try to save myself & my clients as much time as possible using keyboard shortcuts and other productivity tools. For example, did you know there is a keyboard shortcuts menu within Google Calendar? Well, there is…
To access this menu press Shift + ? and it opens up a menu of all the keyboard shortcuts you can use within the calendar…
For example, you can quickly change your view of the calendar to day, week, month, agenda or the custom view by pressing the corresponding key. And if you want to view the current period, whether it’s week or month etc, press T (for today) and it will automatically come back to the current time.
What if the keyboard shortcuts don’t work?
It means they aren’t enabled in your settings. To rectify this, click on the cog icon at the top right of your screen and choose Settings…
Click on Keyboard shortcuts from the menu on the left hand side of the screen…
… and make sure the Enable keyboard shortcuts option is ticked…
And that’s it! You’ll now be able to make use of the calendar keyboard shortcuts.
