3 ways to help your coaching practice stand out in a crowded market place
You have a great coaching practice… you have regular paying clients who love what you do and how you make them feel… you know you’re doing good, and would love more people to know about the work you do… and yet you feel like you’re blending into the background of a really crowded marketplace. There are so many coaches out there, how can you make sure you stand out from the rest? What can you do to help make sure you are found? These 3 quick tips may help 🙂
- USP (Unique Selling Point)
This should be the first thing you identify. What makes you any different to the other 20 female confidence coaches listed in your town? What makes you you? Why did you set up as a coach? What drove you to helping other women gain confidence in themselves? What’s your background story? What experience(s) do you have that will resonate with your target clients?
- Know your target client
Really drill down to who your target client is; ask yourself these questions:
- how old is she?
- what does she do for a living?
- does she have a family? If so what age are the kids?
- where does she like to go at weekends?
- how does she relax in the evenings?
- what does she fear the most?
By answering these questions (and any more you can think of) you are really focusing on who your client actually is. The more specific you are the easier it will be to market to your ideal client. Once you know who she is, you can make your message clearer, so it resonates with her and cut through the “noise” of all other coaches who are being too general in their marketing.

Be Yourself
This is a no-brainer! It goes without saying that for you to gain the trust of potential clients means you have to be you… be authentic, people will know when you’re not being genuine. This is especially true in the coaching industry – you’re engaging with women to show them your expertise, share your knowledge, your experience, and it needs to resonate with them, they will see straight through a false person, someone who pretends to ‘get’ where they’re coming from.
There is only 1 of you and you will draw people to you by just being you 🙂
